Verses that have touched our hearts

These are verses that have touched our Trek's hearts. They apply so much to what God is teaching us and how He is touching our lives.

Acts 10:34
Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism

Philemon 6
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

Psalm 46:10
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."

Luke 6:46-49
46"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? 47I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. 48He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

Acts 20:24
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Epehsians 6:19
Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God,
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you

Proverbs 3:1-4

My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

Today was flippin' sweeter than yesterday. I was in the mall and I asked these girls if they knew where a good place to get ice cream. So they took me to a place and we got some. One girl was from Russia and the other from Germany, and they took me and my JSI (who is flippin' sweet) to a lake. On this epic journey to the lake 4 guys on mopeds started circling us. They followed us for 15 minutes, but we found a guy to help us. We talked to the girls for 2 hours. It was awesome, needless to say! I got their information, so i may see them tomorrow. And then, l ike 15 minutes ago, when I was supposed to be writing this, I met some at my hostel. I had to come to church but they are meeting me at 10. And they are going to try to come with me tomorrow. Praise God and thank you so much for your prayers, keep PR (prayin). I love you, but I don't miss you and that is a blessing, because that could get in the way... when I am in bed, i think of ya'll and pray for ya'll. I'm out!

Today was awesome I met 4 guys, and we played soccer for four hours. They didn't speak English but tomorrow. They are coming back with more friends and I pray that one of them knows how to speak English so I can share my story.

JH, Christoval

Today was cool. A few of us played soccer with some German kids. We didn't get to talk to them about God because they don't speak English. We are supposed to play with them tomorrow, and they are going to bring friends. Maybe one will speak English.
Tschues!

This day was awesome I didn't meet anyone but God was telling me I need to plow the land more. We picked up trash again. I can't wait to get home and practice what I've learned.

JF, San Angelo, Tx

God has taught me to continue to be faithful and to trust that He will lead me down the right path. He has also taught me that all this time in Texas I have been plowing and sowing and I didn't realize it. I just thank Him for His mercy and power.

C.O. Plains, Tx

Well today was fair. I got to plow a lot and just was around. I prayer walked and played frisbee. That's about it though. I appreciate what God has done in my life and hope he continues to work in my life. Mom, just so you knowI will be applying for next year's trip. Love ya, bye

Today was great! I thought that at first, it was going to be harder because when satan notices that something is happening he'll do anything to stop it. However, I got to talk to some people and they were amazing. The story is really long, but I will fill you in later. I hope everything is going well. Pray for Iran to be a democratic country so the refugees will be able to return home. Thank you and God Bless!

God taught me a lot today. We finished picking up trash in the park and it looks gorgeous now. I talked to about 7 people in all (or tried to) who didn't speak English. It was very discouraging, because I knew I was being obedient to the Holy Spirit, but I was like "God, why are you doing this?" One lady actually came up to me, asking me why I was picking up trash, saying it was a good thing. I feel a little bad that I haven't built a relationship yet and I know I shouldn't as long as I am obeying the Holy Spirit. I feel that maybe, since some of our trek members have awesome stories, God's teaching me to rejoice in others more than myself.

The most amazing thing that happened today was praying for one of my team mates. Kara felt a need to go talk to a lady on a bench. As she walked over to the lady, I was praying. Everything I prayed happened like a few minutes after I prayed it. I prayed for a lady to know English, for Kara to start a conversation for for her to be able to use the scarfs we bought yesterday. It all happened! And i got to see the plower and sower in person. i am loving all of this and hope God continues to work.

S.S. Dimmitt, Tx

Hallo! I was a little disappointed that the grandmother and children didn't show up today, but God allowed me to finish picking up all the trash with some of the team. I bought some kits to fly but the wind wasn't strong enough today. I know there are days of plowing, days of sowing and days of reaping- today was mainly a day of plowing, but plowing is just as important as reaping. I praise God for the time to just pray for the rest of them. Danke for you prayers! Don't quit! Love to all!
